Account Settings

Account Settings is a dedicated tab available for each channel that allows to define some additional settings, specific only for this particular channel. Hence, not all channels will have this tab visible. Additionally, any setting that is defined within the Account Settings tab will be applied exclusively for this particular channel. Other channels will not be affected.

Basic LOS pricing

Some channels do not support LOS pricing in full, and one of them is Agoda. For these channels, Rentals United designed a dedicated solution that will allow you to use some features of LOS pricing.

  1. In Rentals United platform, go to the Services tab.

  2. Click the My services tab.

  3. Type the Agoda name in the search box or scroll down through the list of available channels.

  4. Unfold the Agoda section by clicking the Down arrow button.

  5. Click the Account Settings button.

  1. Open the Use basic LOS pricing section.

    By default, Basic LOS pricing is turned off, which means Rentals United only uses your Daily price model to calculate and send your prices. However, if you decide to turn Basic LOS pricing on, you need to ensure that there are some LOS prices provided in Step 5: Price and availability of Edit property tab. If LOS prices are not provided, Rentals United will use daily prices to calculate and send the reservation price to Agoda.

  2. Turn Basic LOS pricing on.

    You are allowed to use Basic LOS pricing in one of two options:

    • Set your LOS price based on your minimum stay

      For example, your settings in Step 5: Price and availability are the following.

      • Minimum stay in May is set to 5 nights, Minimum stay in June is set to 3 nights.

      • LOS pricing in May and June is the following:
        1-night LOS price is 150 per night,
        2-night LOS price is 140 per night,
        3-night LOS price is 140 per night,
        4-night LOS price is 110 per night,
        5-night LOS price is 100.

      A reservation comes in for 28th May to 1st June.

      In such a case, the reservation does not fulfill the minimum stay requirement in May = 5 nights (28th May to 1st June, 4 nights in total). Such a reservation cannot be accepted solely due to the minimum stay requirement violation.

      A reservation comes in for 1st June to 6th June.

      This reservation fulfills the minimum stay requirement in June = 3 nights (1st June to 6th June, 5 nights in total). Even though a 5-night LOS price is provided, Rentals United sends the price based on the minimum stay. In such a case, the price for this part is the 3-night LOS price.

      A reservation comes in for 28th May to 6th June.

      This time, the reservation fulfills the minimum stay requirement in May = 5 nights (28th May to 6th June, 9 nights in total) although the reservation includes only 4 nights in May. This is because minimum stay is checked for each day of the reservation, and on the 31st May there are still 6 nights left.

      However, if the minimum stay in June was 10 nights, the reservation would be rejected because the overall reservation length in May and June is 9 nights.

    • Set one LOS price as your default price

      For example, your settings in Step 5: Price and availability are the following.

      • Minimum stay in May is set to 5 nights, Minimum stay in June is set to 3 nights.

      • LOS pricing in May and June is the following:
        1-night LOS price is 150 per night,
        2-night LOS price is 140 per night,
        3-night LOS price is 140 per night,
        4-night LOS price is 110 per night,
        5-night LOS price is 100 per night.

      • The default price in Basic LOS pricing tab is LOS4.

      A reservation comes in for 27th May to 1st June.

      In such a case, the reservation fulfills the minimum stay requirement in May = 5 nights (27th May to 1st June, exactly 5 nights in total). However, you set the Basic LOS pricing to use a 4-night LOS price and, therefore, the reservation in May costs 110 per night. There will be no additional charge for the extra 5th night of the stay, even though a 5-night LOS price was defined.

      A reservation comes in for 1st June to 4th June.

      It may look like the reservation fulfills the minimum stay requirement in June = 3 nights (1st June to 4th June, exactly 3 nights in total). However, it does not. According to the Basic LOS pricing tab, you selected LOS4. This means that if your minimum stay is below the LOS value, Rentals United will increase it. Hence, the minimum stay in fact is 4 nights, not 3 nights. This eliminates the risk of renting a property below a certain level. In this case, it will not be possible to accept this reservation.

      A reservation comes in for 27th May to 4th June.

      This time, the reservation fulfills the minimum stay requirement in in May = 5 nights (27th May to 1st June, exactly 5 nights in total) and June = 3 nights (1st June to 4th June, exactly 3 nights in total) although the LOS4 setting forces the lower minimum stay to be increased 4 nights. This is because minimum stay is checked for each day of the reservation, and on the 4th June there are already 8 nights passed. Nonetheless, the price for this stay is indicated by the LOS4 setting and is 110 per night.

  3. Save your changes.

Automatic listing content update

With Automatic listing content update, you can turn on an automatic property descriptive content update and make your connection to Agoda seamless. This means that whenever you edit your properties in Rentals United, the listings in Agoda will be automatically updated. Find the important information below:

  • Setting can be turned on / off per account

  • It affects property descriptive content only

  • The changes are pushed to the channels every 4 hours. It means your updates should be visible on Agoda within the next 24 hours, depending on the channel's processing time

  • Listings that do not meet minimum requirements to connect will not be updated. In case your changes are not visible in the channel, make sure that your properties meet these criteria. Note that you will not see any notification in Agoda Property Settings if the property does not meet minimum content requirements.

  • In case the update is unsuccessful, you will see an update error in the Agoda Property Settings.

Note: For Agoda, updates are possible only in the following configuration:

  • one hotel - one room - one rate

If you need to update the channel for properties in a different set-up, please contact the Rentals United Support Team and we will carry this on for you.

Note: Property descriptive content updates include fees, taxes, standard number of guests and maximum occupancy. These data can influence your pricing. Changes in extra guest price or discounts do not trigger an update.
Note: If you attempted to add a new property to Agoda in the past and it was failed for some reason, the automatic listing content update feature will try to push the failed properties to the channel. If you do not wish these failed property pushes to be processed, make sure to clear the error that shows up after the initial push failed.
Note: In case of Agoda, only channel listings with one room type and one property will be automatically updated. Others will be skipped.

  4. Unfold the Agoda section by clicking the Down arrow button.

  5. Click the Account Settings button.

  1. Search for the Automatic listing content update section.

  2. Choose the setting that you prefer.

  3. Click Save.

Syncing extra fees

Remember this setting is available in new Property Settings only!

Use this setting in order to start sending your fees to Agoda. This setting is visible only for clients who connected to Agoda before 2023-08-23. Clients who connected afterwards have the synchronisation of fees enabled by default. If you want to learn which fees are supported and how they display on Agoda, read more here.

  1. In Rentals United platform, go to the Services tab.

  2. Click My services.

  3. Type Agoda in the search box or scroll down through the list of available channels.

  4. When you find it, unfold the section by clicking the Down arrow button in the Agoda box.

  5. Click Property Settings.

  6. Switch the tab to Channel Settings.

  1. Search for the Syncing extra fees section.

  2. Choose the setting that you prefer.

  3. Click Save.

Note: Once you choose the Yes option, the setting will disappear from your Channel Settings.
